Google previews Gemini Intelligence, new Googlebooks laptops ahead of I/O 2026

Google used its Android Show (I/O edition) to preview expanded Gemini features across Android and ChromeOS under the ‘Gemini Intelligence’ banner, including proactive/agentic assistance, form-filling, and new on-device and privacy controls. The company also introduced ‘Googlebooks,’ a new lineup of laptops built for Gemini Intelligence, with first models expected from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo later this year.
